Casa Pérez Alemán is an elegant three-story building, completely rebuilt in 1916, and one of the first residential buildings to be erected on Avenida A, which at that time was known as Carrera de Caldas.
The cities during the colonial period extended from a central square, in our case, from the Plaza de la Independencia. Therefore, during that time, new houses were built towards the sea. Little by little, the young families built their residences in what would later become one of the main avenues of San Felipe.
In 1904, when there were still three buildings in Carrera de Caldas, the diaz-german family used stone, wood and tiles to build a two-story residence in which they installed two cannons, one in the east and one in the western end of the property. After the owner became a widow, she remarried and built this magnificent house using masonry stone, wood and a corrugated iron roof, bequeathing us with what it is today, Perez's German residence, of which the current property
It takes its name.
