They estimate the construction of this beautiful building to date back to 1870, evident from its distinctive openings and skylights. In 1883, Jules Dingler, the chief engineer of the Compagnie Universelle du Canal Interoceanique, made this building his residence.
As the United States took charge of the interoceanic canal’s construction, it continued to serve as the chief engineer’s residence. John Wallace, the initial authority of the North American Canal Company, lived there in the early 20th century. Subsequently, the property became the first headquarters of the American embassy, known as the “Legación,” in Panama.
Originally designed with 8 apartments and a commercial space, our current offices are now located there, serving as a hub for rental services, property purchases, and sales in Casco Antiguo.
This unit offers one bedroom with a balcony overlooking Avenida Central and a side ocean view. It features a private terrace with a half bath for the convenience of visitors and private parking. What better features could you ask for in a cozy apartment in Casco?
