At the beginning of the 20th century, the building belonged to Pablo P. Pacheco and Natividad Pérez de Pacheco.
In 1920 it was acquired by Captain George Zarak (who owned several properties in Panama), married to Inés Leonard de Zarak, who in 1928 demolished the existing property facing West Second Street and replaced it with the current structure.
It is the highest on this street. This three-level building was restored in 2011 by Julieta Linares de Zarak. Its façade departs from the usual scheme of Casco Antiguo because, instead of conventional balconies, it has individual porches and a kind of gallery on the ground floor.
The openings, most with semicircular arches, are of various sizes and types. This apartment has wooden floors, a spacious dining room, and a balcony with direct views of the sea.
