The construction of this beautiful building, estimated to date back to 1870 based on the type of openings and skylights, gained historical significance in 1883 when Jules Dingler, the chief engineer of the Compagnie Universelle du Canal Interoceanique, took residence. Subsequently, as the United States assumed control of the canal construction, the building continued to serve as the chief engineer’s residence. John Wallace, the inaugural authority of the North American Canal Company, lived there in the early 20th century. Later, the property became the first headquarters of the American embassy, known as the “Legation,” in Panama.
Originally designed with eight apartments and a commercial space, our current offices are situated there, offering services for property rentals, purchases, and sales in Casco Antiguo.
This exceptional apartment features a spacious living and dining area, along with a well-appointed kitchen. The second level houses two bedrooms, and the property boasts a vast terrace with an ocean view. Adding to its uniqueness, the apartment includes a private elevator and parking. Truly one of a kind!
